Adrian Masters

I took this while I was walking home from the launch of Wales Arts Review’s Newport edition a couple of weeks ago. The event was remarkable for its proud, optimistic, warm-hearted yet unsentimental view of the town/city in which we live. As I crossed Newport Bridge I was struck by the sight of our new foot bridge and its reflection in the Usk – a star in a muddy river, a perfect metaphor for the way we think about where we live.
